App Compatibility & System Requirements

To ensure the Bluetooth lock and GPS features work reliably, your phone must meet the following hardware and software standards.

📱 Supported Operating Systems

• iOS (iPhone): Requires iOS 15.6 or later.

• Android: Requires Android 7.0 or later.

🛠️ Google Play Services Requirement

The Donkey Republic app relies on Google Play Services for critical functions.

⚠️ Device-Specific Exceptions

Some hardware architectures have known compatibility issues with our Bluetooth locking system:

• Incompatible Devices: Phones from Wiko, Actions, and BQ Aquaris are not supported.

• Motorola Moto G: These devices are compatible, but users often experience a Bluetooth "handshake" delay.

  • Workaround: If the lock doesn't respond, force-close the app and toggle your Bluetooth off/on before each unlock.
