No, the locks do not have a GPS integrated chip and it is not possible to live track bike location.
We use users' device location as a proxy for tracking down the location of the bike. When the rider keep GPS turned-on on the device, we can register and store the location. We demand that when the rental is being ended, the location setting on the rider’s has to be on so we can verify if the bike was returned to the hub.
If the user has no internet connection when ending the rental, the application will store all the necessary information and upload them to our server as soon as the user's device will be on-line.
